This photo is uploaded to the Window to the World Contest contest on group
It was taken on Munich, Germany's Marienplatz - the central square.
Amid of all the shoppers and tourists, a group of street musicians with string instruments set up in the middle of the street, and started playing classical music. This violinist was amazing, and he was very passionate about his music. The guy in the background... Not so much.
I think music is the global language that is understood by all. Even if you haven't seen a violin in your life because you grew up in a secluded village, looking at this photograph you will understand immediately that this person is playing music, because music is pervasive in every culture that has ever been and stirs the same emotions no matter who you are. Also, the expression on the person in the background's face is also very global.
This is actually the only street photography piece I have ever uploaded on dA, I almost never do street photography, I uploaded this piece specifically for the contest and I hope you enjoy it.
